AMARBAYSGALANT MONASTERY
The monastery complex is located near the Selenge River, at the foot of mount of Buren khan in Baruunburen soum of Selenge province. The monastery was established and funded by order of Manchu emperor to serve as a final resting place for Zanabazar (1635-1723), the first Jebtsundamba khutugt it is spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery is dedicated to Zanabazars main tutelary deity, which is an ensemble of temple halls of different styles, shows great stylistic unity. The overriding style is Chinese, with some Mongol and Tibetan influence. Amarbaysgalant was one of the very few monasteries to have partly escaped destruction during the Stalinist purges of 1937. Today, only 28temples remain. Restoration work begun in 1988with funds provided by UNISCO and private sources and some of the new statuary was commissioned in New Delhi
URANTOGOO
This is a national protected area in the Bulgan province of Mongolia.It is located about 60 km directly west of Bulgan town around the extinct volcanoes Uran togoo, Tulga, Togoo, Jalavch uul All four mountain names allude to their volcanic past with designations borrowed from around the fireplace.
The Uran togoo and Togoo mountains are named for their bowl shape,the Tulga mountain for its three mounds reminding of the traditional iron tripod kettle support. Jalawch is a term for a small pot.
KHUVSGUL LAKE
The Lake is located in the northwest of Mongolia near the Russian border, at the foot of the eastern Sayan Mountains It is 1645 above sea level, 136km long and 262m deep. It is the second most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia and holds almost 70 precent
of Mongolia’s fresh water and 0.4precent of all the fresh water in the world. Khuvsgul Lake is one seventeen ancient lakes in the world, being more than 2 million years old, and most pristine as well as being the most significant drinking water reserve of Mongolia.
TERKHIIN TSAGAAN LAKE
The lake is also known as White lake is a lake in the Khangai Mountains in central Mongolia.It was formed by lava flows millions ago. The area surrounding the lake is a 7280hectar national park and home to volcanic craters, pine clad lava fields and the occasional herd of yaks.
TSENKHER HOT SPRING
The spring is located in Shiveet Mankhan mountains foot in the Khangai mountain range in the distance of 22km from Tsetserleg town.
This hot springs sprout directly from the mountains and reach high temperatures of up to 86 degrees Celsius. The hot springs contains the simple alkaline structure of sodium of sulphuric.
